Sony Announces Dedicated Blu-ray 3D Player – BDP-S770
While Blu-ray has been around for a while, most Blu-ray players have been nothing to write home about. Add to that the fact that cost of most Blu-ray players was around the same as that of a Playstation 3 console system. However, Sony is looking to change all of that with what could potentially be a game-changer in the Blu-ray player domain. At CES, 2010, Sony has unveiled that BDP-S770, and they have every right to be proud of this technological marvel.
This player has some amazing specs and features a whole host of neat features such as integrated Wi-Fi, the ability to stream videos and movies from a host of providers (25 in total) including Netflix via Bravia Internet Video Link and of course, most importantly, the ability to support full HD 3D movies. It even has support for streaming videos on homenetworks via DLNA. Of course, it can play your regular Blu-ray discs along with DVDs, SA CDs and regular audio CDs. Additionally it even allows remote control via bluetooth or even via an iPhone or iPod Touch remote control app. Nifty!! DVD owners will be glad to know that they can enjoy a higher quality experience to 1080p with Precision Cinema HD Upscaling. You’ll also have great quality sound from any disc with integrated Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio decoding.
